Emily & Parker’s Coastal Isle of Palms Engagement

An Isle of Palms engagement session doesn’t always have to happen at sunset to be beautiful—in fact, Emily and Parker’s midday beach session is proof that it can be just as magical.

After starting their engagement session in Downtown Charleston and Hampton Park, we made our way to the beach around noon. The light was brighter, the waves a little more playful, and the entire atmosphere felt carefree and full of energy.

Emily changed into a long, flowy dress that moved effortlessly with the ocean breeze, creating the most natural, romantic motion in every photo. It was the perfect contrast to the structured, elegant look she wore earlier in the day. Parker kept things classic and coastal in a linen button-down and jeans—simple, timeless, and perfectly suited for the setting.

This part of their session felt the most relaxed. By the time we reached the beach, they were completely in their element—laughing, walking along the shoreline, and just enjoying the moment together.

When Emily first described her vision, she said she wanted a mix of everything: elegant, casual, and candid. Ending at the beach tied it all together in a way that felt effortless and true to them.

And of course, their sweet pup Nola (their black lab mix) is such a big part of their lives too.
