After spending the first half of their engagement session wandering through historic downtown Charleston, Marissa and Carson headed toward Old Village for a completely different feel to end the evening. While downtown brought the classic architecture, blooming jasmine, and historic charm Charleston is known for, Pitt Street offered something quieter — soft waterfront light, marsh views, and the relaxed coastal atmosphere that makes Old Village feel so special.

Spring in Charleston always feels a little extra romantic. The jasmine begins climbing the iron gates and historic homes, the streets soften with greenery, and even cloudy afternoons somehow still glow. Between the blooming jasmine tucked throughout downtown and Marissa’s timeless white babydoll dress, the entire session felt effortlessly classic and undeniably Charleston.

An Isle of Palms engagement session doesn’t always have to happen at sunset to be beautiful—in fact, Emily and Parker’s midday beach session is proof that it can be just as magical. After starting their engagement session in Downtown Charleston and Hampton Park, we made our way to the beach around noon.
