Southern Hampton Park Engagement in Charleston

If you’re dreaming of something soft, romantic, and full of that effortless Southern charm, a Hampton Park engagement session is always the answer.

After beginning their engagement session in the heart of Downtown Charleston, we headed over to Hampton Park for a completely different feel. The historic streets and elegant architecture gave way to sprawling oak trees, soft greenery, and that unmistakable Southern charm Charleston is known for. It was the perfect transition into a more relaxed, playful part of their session before ending the day by the coast at Isle of Palms.

Emily and Parker leaned fully into that vision here, and it couldn’t have suited them more. Emily wore a white tank paired with a denim mini skirt, while Parker opted for a plaid shirt and jeans—and the straw hats pulled everything together in the most perfect, laid-back way. It felt natural, fun, and completely true to who they are as a couple.

This part of their session reflected so much of what they love doing together. Whether it’s being outdoors, playing pickleball, heading to the beach, or just spending a quiet night watching movies, they truly value that balance of adventure and simplicity. You can see it in the way they interact—easy, comfortable, and always laughing.

Emily is incredibly creative and loves painting, crafting, and making personalized pieces, while Parker is all about hunting, fishing, and sports. Together, they’ve built a relationship centered around quality time, whether that looks like trying a new restaurant or just slowing down and enjoying the moment.

Their proposal story is just as meaningful. While Parker originally planned to propose on the beach, the weather had other ideas. Instead, after a brunch date (where neither of them could eat because of nerves), he led Emily to a gazebo decorated with photos, flowers, and “Marry Me” letters. Surrounded by family and friends who came out to celebrate, it became one of those perfectly imperfect moments they’ll never forget.
