High school sweethearts, Bryanna and Alec were meant for each other! This downtown Cleveland engagement was one for the books. Ashley (our associate photographer) captured their love story just perfectly and I won’t ever stop saying how incredibly thankful I am for our partnership – providing an amazing photography experience to so many of our fellow Cleveland brides.

Bryanna wanted more of an urban feel for their photos, more candid shots as if photographed by Paparazzi, with a mix of portraits. I absolutely loved that idea and thought the area by Playhouse Square and GE Chandelier would be the perfect location. I had no idea just how wonderful their photos would turn out. Thank you, Ashley! The Love Story

We are your high school sweethearts! We met my junior and his senior year. It all started when I asked my cousin (a freshman) who she thought were the cute seniors. She said she had such a crush on Alec, and I was like hmmm… you know what he IS cute! I ended up asking him to prom (he was shy) and then we just never stopped seeing each other! Our first date was a group date to go hiking out in Yellow Springs, then we went to our local café in town for ice cream afterwards.

The Proposal Story

My proposal is something I’ll never forget! It has such a special place in my heart. Alec decided to take me on a spontaneous trip to Tennessee for the weekend–I had been cooped up inside the house for months working from home due to COVID, and needed a break. He planned it all–the cabin, what we’d do. It was a nice break since I’m usually the one who plans every last detail! The cabin was perfect. It was a little studio place on the top of a mountain, and let me tell ya, it was a TRIP in an of itself just getting to the top! I loved it. Alec knows how much I love taking car rides along the country-side to just take in the scenery. So going here was such a treat for my eyes! On our first night we went and got a few things, and stayed in to cook dinner and relax. The next day we decided to hike this trail we read about it one of the tour guides. It said it would lead us to an overlook with a breathtaking view and I was sold! When we got to the top, we laid out a blanket and had a picnic for lunch. Afterwards, Alec asked if I’d like to take some pictures for the girls (my bestfriends lol). Once I was done, I came back to see Alec down on one knee, where he asked me to be his wife! It was just perfect. I think what I loved about it most was that it was just the two of us to share this moment and be with each other, in a place that we both love.
