Haley and Eric’s wedding day was one I will never forget. It was truly my honor to capture all the special moments that unveiled right in front of my lens. And what a beautiful wedding it was. Haley’s vision for the day was to create a timeless and classic feel with romantic vibes. Incorporating lots of candles, greenery and roses while balancing them out with gold accents made her vision come to life. Being on the lake, Haley and Eric wanted a relaxing environment that brings vacation-like feeling to their guests, and it was just that! The Cleveland Yacht Club is the perfect venue for a laid back yet elegant wedding. Haley added a few special touches by providing a champagne truck before the ceremony, acoustic music for ceremony and first dances, and a polaroid photo book and donuts for reception. Wanting to be involved in all aspects of her wedding, she designed her own wedding invitations, as well as programs, vow books, signs, name cards, table decor, and more. Along with her amazing friends, Haley’s incredible mom did all of the table florals (which looked absolutely stunning!). The whole wedding truly was a team effort and was everything a girl could ever dream of.
What an incredible beginning to Haley and Eric’s forever. Take a look at how gorgeous a Cleveland Yacht Club wedding really could be!
“I have so many favorite parts, but one of my most favorite parts was the first look with my dad. I could tell it meant so much to him and was a moment that I will never forget – I am so grateful we have it on video/photo and that my mom and sister-in-law were there for it too. Doing a first look/ private vow exchange with Eric was also another one of my favorite parts. It is easy to get lost in the chaos and excitement of the day and it was so nice to have time scheduled to be alone with my (almost) husband and focus on the most important part of the day – our love and commitment to each other. This is when it really “felt real” to me and set in that we were getting married and nothing else mattered (not even the weather). We also took time just the two of us between cocktail hour and intros to sit and eat some appetizers and relax before rejoining the party which was a good way to make sure we got to eat and recharge for a minute. The sunset pictures were also so fun and I love how beautiful they turned out!”
“My advice is to take your time planning (we had close to a 1.5-year engagement) which allowed me to enjoy the process and avoid stress. I was also able to pick from a wide selection of vendors since our date was so far out. I also would tell future brides to be present in the day and take a few moments throughout the day to soak it all in because it goes so quickly. When I was at the altar I made a point of looking out at everyone because it is so rare to have all of your loved ones in one place for YOU! I also think having the timeline planned out ahead of time with buffers especially in the morning helped mitigate a lot of anxiety and stress. I also suggest gathering up all of your “detail” items that you want to be photographed so that they are all in once place and ready to go for Juliana. I had a day of a wedding coordinator who was amazing and took a lot of pressure off my parents and my shoulders so that everyone could enjoy the day. Don’t sweat the small things – the day will be perfect – rain or shine!”
“Where do we begin? When I think about our wedding I can say with 1000% confidence that choosing Juliana to be a part of our special day was the best decision we made. Planning a wedding is so overwhelming and you are at the mercy of the vendors you choose. I am SO thankful that we got to work with Juliana. From the first time we met over the phone to our engagement shoot, wedding day and beyond, she is a professional with a gentle and kind personality who put us at ease. When our schedule got off track, she adapted and calmed my nerves that we would get all the shots and didn’t need to worry. She effortlessly moved throughout the day ensuring that no moment was missed (unsure if she even ate or when to the bathroom! Lol). When our wedding day was all said and done I knew all we had to look back on were photos and memories and Juliana captured EVERY single moment beautifully. I am still in awe when I look at our photos and will cherish them for a lifetime. Thank you so much, Juliana!”
