“Danny has a great sense of dry humor and so I laughed a lot that night and noticed how pretty his eyes were. I think he already liked me at this point but that was the first night I thought ‘I think I would like to be more than friends!’ Ever since then I couldn’t stop thinking about him.” – Kelly
They both attended OSU a few years later and have grown and changed a lot since they started dating almost a decade ago, and (in Kelly’s words): “Dan got a great haircut and built some muscle which was a nice touch;)” but they are still those best friends who fell in love and enjoy being together.
I just love their proposal story! And I think it’s better if you hear it in Kelly’s words:
“Our proposal is actually sort of a funny story. I had known Danny would be proposing sometime soon as he had just finished law school and we had been talking about that next step for a while. He suggested we take a walk at my favorite park with the dog (Tallmage Meadows). I thought “This could be it!”, but had thought that at Christmas time as well and gotten a radio…When Dan suggested we let the dog rest and sit on the bench I was like “OMG!!!!” and he just popped the ring out, got on one knee and said something like “Well, what do you think? Will you marry me?”. He got straight to the point! The funniest part was that a few minutes later we realized the whole trail was covered in ticks, as were we, and the dog, so we had to scrape them off of her (like 15!) pick her up, and run the rest of the way!! Talk about romance!! But it was so memorable and perfect, I would not have changed a thing.”

“We are pretty simple when it comes to what we like to do together. Our favorite things are to watch movies (he has somehow gotten me to enjoy horror movies), go get ice cream and sit in the back of his truck with the dog, do projects and activities together (like update furniture or go glass blowing), and hang out with our mutual friends. What’s great about us is that we genuinely just really enjoy being together, so anything we do is more fun when we get to joke around and talk about life together. Dan is very steady and calm, so I like to tell him that I add flavor to his life and the only thing he does is complain that it’s too spicy;) (I am a little more energetic and goofy) We obviously like to poke fun at one another. We also spend a lot of time with our families that live close by and are very important to us.” – Kelly

I absolutely LOVED this photoshoot and getting to know this sweet couple! I am truly happy to have gotten to know Kelly and Dan and so excited for their new and exciting chapter in life!
