What a day for Jordan and Jocelyn! The vision was inspired by the venue itself – Gordon Green offers a beautiful open, clean space with lots of natural light. Having a spring wedding in such a gorgeous space resulted in a romantic garden party theme. Flowers in bud vases, gauze table runners and all ivory linens – Oh Hello Event Planning brought Jocelyn’s vision to life. And the best part of all – bridesmaid baskets in place of bouquets – a total hit. What a unique twist on a wedding staple which can also serve as decor for the reception after! This Gordon Green wedding was one for the books. Congratulations, Jocelyn and Jordan – I hope you enjoy these sneak peeks and never stop looking at each other the way you did on your wedding day.

After months of planning, one of my favorite things is to reflect with the bride about her wedding day. Read on to see why this day was so incredible.

Q: Please share about your favorite parts of your wedding day.

The entire day was incredible. Jordan and I wrote our own vows so exchanging those was so special for the both of us and we loved that we could do It in front of everyone we loved. The dance floor was also the place to be. Our friends and family love dancing and music so we danced the night away. But looking back our favorite part was standing back, taking in the whole room and seeing all our favorite people together.

Q: Describe your wedding style and the little things you added to make your wedding special unique to you.

We first fell in love with our venue which helped us decide on our wedding style. Gordon Green is a beautiful open, clean space with lots of natural light. That combined with being spring lead us to a romantic garden party theme. We wanted simple, but lots of flowers so we did flowers in bud vases. To capture the light and airy feel we did gauze table runners and all ivory linens. But my favorite part overall had to be the bridesmaid baskets – it was a last minute switch and I’m so happy with how they turned out. They were a unique twist on a wedding staple and they served as decor for the reception after.

Q: Any advice to future brides?

Don’t stress over the little things, it really will all come together in the end. And, do your research, pick good vendors, and let them do their work. They are the experts – if you let them be creative they will being your vision to life better than you could have imagined.

Anything you would change?

If I could change anything it would be to make the day longer somehow. It went way to fast and truly was the best day of my life.

Q: How did I do? Did JKP enhance your day?

A: I cant explain how wonderful you did. It’s very clear how much you love your job and it translates in your work. You made us feel feel comfortable during all portraits and easily guided us to get the best shoots. Your energy is unmatched, somehow you’re everywhere at once. I couldn’t have imagined my day without JKP. The day is a blur and now I get to look back and enjoy it all again thanks to you.
