Cleveland Beach Engagement

We were able to catch one of the last warm days of the summer for Alison and Dominic’s engagement photos at one of my favorite Cleveland beaches. It didn’t matter that the sun wasn’t out, the photos captured fully portray the fun and loving side of this sweet duo. Most couples (well, I can easily say ALL of our couples) are the sweetest, most fun and loving people. We had a blast this evening and our time together did not feel like we just met for the first time, at all! Alison and Dominic have the cutest golden retriever Louie, who means the world to them and I loved having him part of the session as well! He is just the most adorable pup… you’ll have to see for your self!

How they met

The sweet couple met while at Ohio University. They both worked at Nelson Market. Dominic always thought the girl at the checkout counter (Alison) was amazing and beautiful but never mustered up the courage to ask her out. They both parted ways until fate and the Cleveland Browns brought them together years later. Alison spotted Dominic at a tailgate. She tried to avoid Dominic hoping he wouldn’t notice her. Luckily for Dominic, Alison is really awful at hiding and ran right into him. From that day on they have been inseparable. Since then, they started at OU and begin a new chapter with I do in just a few months!

The Proposal

Alison and Dominic went out to dinner at Barroco, their favorite Latin place. After dinner, they took Louie, their golden retriever to Lakewood Park on a walk to watch the sunset. It was then that Dominic proposed on the solstice steps in the park!

After hearing their proposal story I just knew we had to capture their engagement photos on the lake. And I also knew this was going to be one of my favorite Cleveland beach engagement sessions, as it sure was. What a perfect way to remember this special season in their lives. I simply cannot wait for Alison and Dominic’s big day this fall!
