I’m so excited to share some images from our spontaneous trip to Washington D.C. for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Scrolling through these photos might give you the impression that it was warm and felt like spring but unfortunately that was not the case. Mid 40’s and sunshine you’d think would be great but the wind was freezing. And as usual I didn’t dress for that.. Of course we couldn’t let that stop us from exploring the city.
It was my first time visiting the Arlington National Cemetery and it was such a humbling experience. To see all the lives that were sacrificed for this country made us appreciate what we have so much more. We were even lucky enough to witness the Changing of the Guard Ceremony. Lets just say I took way too many pictures but here are some of my personal favorites from our short weekend getaway.
